Pay double to have ringtone?

It’s my first time to buy song from Apple iTunes Music Store. US$0.99 for a single song is quite attractive. And actually, most of the time, I don’t like all songs from an album, especially those movie soundtracks. So spending in iTMS is a great choice.
But I doubt the policy of how a consumer can make use of the song. If you buy a physical copy like CD, we can make the song we like as our mobile ringtone as we want. But in iTunes, it has limited songs that can be used as ringtone. And the worst, you need to pay more for making it into ringtone! Sounds ridiculous as if I’ve paid for the song already! I know it has DRM-free song selling US$1.29 from the store, but it’s not a choice for most of the songs….
The interface of crop songs is pretty good, but I think the programmer must be very upset by the policy.
